Hi, I’m Helene.
I’m a Swede who somehow ended up in the American South.
I grew up in Sweden and moved from Stockholm to Georgia more than twenty years ago. Along the way, I’ve discovered that some of the best stories come from the little things most people stop noticing checkout lines, French Bulldogs, hotel Bibles, American flags, Swedish traditions, and the wonderfully different ways people move through life.
By day, I work in tech.
When I’m not working, I’m probably walking my dogs, heading to a Pilates class, trying a new recipe, getting lost in a good book, or wondering if my orchid needs water or if I’m about to kill it.
This blog isn’t about having all the answers.
It’s a collection of observations, reflections, and the occasional completely unnecessary overthinking session. Some posts are funny. Some are more thoughtful. Most start with a simple question or a small moment that made me stop and think, “That’s interesting…”
